Good eveneing fellow Phin Fans... just figured to generalize some stats and let you see where we either improved considerably or slightly in the last 8 games of the Season...

At 0 and 7 we looked at these numbers...

26% Third Down Conversion... 9-23 (39%) on Red Zone... 9 Red Zone TDs... 15.3 Points per Game... 5.0 Yards per Play...

    After 0-7 (or 5-10)...A 5-3 record...

39% Third Down Conversion... 15-29 (52%) on Red Zone... 15 Red Zone TDs... 6, 20+ yards TDs... 23.6 Points per Game... 5.5 Yards per Play...

and then we look at the 2009 Season...

49% TDC... 33-54 (61%) on Red Zone... 33 Red Zone TDs... 4, 20+ yards TDs... 21.3 Points per Game... 4.9 Yards per Play...

    just food for thought...

Looks like 09 was still the peak for what Sparnao was trying to do in Miami.

As much of a difference as 2009 was, I wonder what those numbers were for playoff teams.

Not surprising given a new OC and system during a lockout, 5 new starters on offense, an OL that had 3 new position starters including a rookie and Jake Long playing through an injury early on, and a #1 WR that couldn't catch a cold in the end zone and was being targeted probably over 50% in the end zone.

I would feel more confident with the offense if the wins weren't against teams that rank 19, 20, 27, 27, 29 in PPG for defense.
