The Mod scene for PS3 is exploding. A working Sega Saturn emulator just hit. It's only version 0.1 and supposedly works just about perfect. I cant wait to get home and try it! My favorite Saturn game ever: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardian_Heroes
this thing is gonna be WAAAAY bigger than the 360 scene. The amount of 360s that are completely unlockable to run unsigned code is very small and shrinking daily. This scene is huge. It'll have the 360 beat in no time. The only thing the 360 still has over it is the fact that games leak early on the 360. So far nothing on PS3 has dropped before street date. (for now of course)
