It's not anywhere near as difficult as it seems. Just take pics of every step on your phone to make it easier to re-assemble. -
I am getting the ps4 so it's really just delaying the inevitable. And yesterday I sold all of my ps3 hardware (games, controllers, plugs)
I could probably do the steps you mention and take care of it. I just don't have the patience/time to get it done. -
And no, I don't have another ps3. Just a 360
