"During the first 40 minutes of practice when all 90 players were inside the bubble they had no idea what was waiting for them outside. Fans started lining up outside of the pro shop shortly after the sun rose in order to get the best seat in the bleachers.
Once the players exited the bubble and headed onto the outdoor practice fields a loud roar greeted them from the sellout crowd. A total of 2,700 fans including the suites and standing room only provided quite the atmosphere for the team.
“I saw it was packed and it looked like it was a full house,” Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake said. “I saw people standing around on the bottom so in my mind standing room only, that’s definitely exciting. It makes you want to go out there even more and lay for these fans. They support us every time we go out on that field and we definitely want to get our feet going in the right direction for them.”
Wake credited the excitement of the new additions on offense and defense and the new logo and uniform change as some of the reasons behind the excitement"

I wrote in the other thread I saw a bunch of pics today of the turnout, place was without question there was waaaaay more than the first day of camp last year..
Maybe it didnt need it's own thread, but with Omar out there painting his negative narrative, I thought id make sure he sees it when he comes here later.

Yeah the Culpepper/9-7 2005 bump. That was also when season tickets were very high right, like 60,000+. Let's hope this excitement doesn't get snuffed out like that one did! Some big name teams early on so it won't take long to find out.

I can't help but feel the Dolphins are going to have much better attendance this season. I'm not expecting 8 sell outs but I think we'll be pleased with what we see this year. If we start out 2-0, I think the game vs Atlanta will be packed.

I agree with you, but you know it's not just about more people, if we do go 2 and 0, i too believe the place will sell out, I just wish the team or someone in the PR dept could put out a message to the public, some small marketing campaign to the fanbase with a message to lets change a few things about how we come to the stadium, say something to stress how important it is for these players to see the place full and rocking at kickoff, how important it is to get back into their seats at half, how that it's ok to stand and cheer when were on defense, I would like to change the whole pr angle inside the stadium, create a campaign that excites them thru the PA and scoreboard messages...I mean really go there..let them know there is a new attitude when you walk into the stadium....but most importantly campaign for fans to be in their seats during intros..
I'm tellin yeah man, when players of the home team come out and see half empty stadiums, no energy, it affects their play at moments during the game, as is, we don't have a three point advantage in our building, inside betters don't believe so, I've believed that for a long time..the superbowl is to hard already to win, let along playing your home games on a neutral field.P h i N s A N i T y likes this.
