It’s extremely early in the process, but Washington’s Jake Locker is the only first-round worthy quarterback here participating in the Senior Bowl.
That distinction presents Locker the opportunity to close ground on Missouri’s Blaine Gabbert, Auburn’s Cam Newton and Arkansas’ Ryan Mallet, the three underclassmen quarterbacks who have entered the draft.
It’s also a risky gamble because these practices could expose troublesome flaws in his mechanic, or issues reading the field like it did to Tim Tebow last season.
