Per Section126's request. Please offer some ideas for the sequel to Section's wonderfully received BADASS BRACKET EDIT: DrAstroZoom is working on a SIDEKICKS Bracket, should be fun. Don't see any reason we shouldn't follow it up with some of the other great ideas. COMEDIANS Pryor, Carlin, Belushi, Bruce, Sellers.... BEST 80'S SONG I'm personally not a fan of that entire decade of music. It was a ten year vacation for talent. But on the bright side, there shouldn't be a problem coming up with just 16 good songs from that decade. One Police album might do it. "What's that? A Bracket is typically 64? We're screwed." SUPERHEROES AND SUPERVILLAINS Batman, Joker, Superman, Lex Luthor, Spiderman, Wolverine, Dr. Doom.... RIVALRIES Batman vs. Joker, Seinfeld vs. Newman, Donkey Kong vs. Mario, Superman vs. Lex Luthor.... HOTTIE BRACKET LEAST TALENTED CELEBRITY American Idol bracket, MTV bracket, Modern Rock Bracket BEST NAME BEST GAMESHOW REALITY SHOW REALITY STAR BEST MOVIE (GENRE SPECIFIC) BEST TV SHOW BEST VIDEO GAME RAPPER NAME BEST INSULT?
how about quaterbacks? or offensive players? Best ever football teams? (ex: dolphins of the 70s vs the cowboys of the 90s) best pitchers in baseball? best name? (fictional or real Ex: barney fife, the grinch, muffin man, puss n boots) The options are endless...... how about best tv game show? or reality show/star?
Could do sports icon, though we might be a bit too biased for that to be accurate. Best movies, but you might have to pick a specific genre or you'll have everyone crying that certain movies were left out. Best TV show could be another possibility. I like comedians and rivalries. But if Dane Cook wins I'm going back to FH lol.
Video games would be a good one. Like the comedians bracket. Favorite Rapper name is a cool one as well.
That was my first choice. Figured that would be too diffucult to agree on as far as seeds and whatnot.
Remember that we have to fill 63 seeds and a play in game...so we need something that has 65 good candidates.
I got a really good idea... How bout...least talented celebrity. Rules: You cannot use people that are famous for nothing. (Paris Hilton, etc..) You must use recording artists, actors, etc...(I know Paris has done both..but she was famous before she did)
I don't know....We all know he has no talent..but the guy has made some good movies. Doesn;t that hurt his chances? He is definately in the tourney..but as a low seed I would say.
This is gonna be tough. I can't stand Babs..but babs has some serious Pipes. She has one of the best singing voices of alltime...that alone makes her talented. Liza Minelli...we agree...she is around a #4 seed I would say.
He also played characters in three movies (the same character 3 times?) where he was good. The Rivers Edge, Bill and Ted, and Parenthood. And Point Break wouldn't be the enduring film it is without his "I am an FBI AGENT!"
your kidding me with Streisand..whats next Celine Dion??I dont like her (Streisand) either but her career and accolades are impecable..Minelli ya she sucks..
Britney Spears should get serious consideration for a #1 seed. Although at one point..she had a nice *** and that could have been considered a talent.
Updated the first page. I think the brackets are best if the following are emphasized. WIDE FIELD - at least 65 options without stretching it. BALANCED and SUBJECTIVE FIELD - No obvious front runner or predictable final 2. Just subjective enough that fun debates occur in as many matchups as possible. COMMON FIELD - There should be no contestants that no one has ever reasonably heard of. So far 6 options seem to be leading the informal poll. COMEDIANS, SUPERHEROES AND SUPERVILLAINS, SIDEKICKS, RIVALRIES, HOTTIES, and LEAST TALENTED CELEBRITY I think Superheroes and Supervillains may be a bit weak on all three. While I think Hollywood and the Music industry are filled with lackluster talent, I don't know that we have an easy 65 for Least Talented. Comedians is easy to fill, especially if you open it up to TV and movies, rather than restricting it to stand up. Pryor may be the odds on favorite in the final round, but every matchup before that should create an interesting debate. Sidekicks would work provided you compile a creative list. Rivalries would work provided you compile a creative list. Though I don't see the passionate debate that we saw in the Badass Bracket, I could be wrong. Hotties is a great idea, subjective, common, and wide open. I would just argue it wouldn't be as creative as the others. But that is a minor argument. Just my two cents.
