Im guessing you havent read that many comic books...the only problem I see with it would be its a niche crowd but the field would be HUGE wittleing it down would be the problem.. but #3 could be a problem for someone who had just a passing fancy for comics.
I haven't read that many comic books, though I do love the genre, and am somewhat aware of many characters. I would assume I'm fairly typical. There are the obvious popular characters, and they would surely wind up in the final 4, due to the fact that most people have only a passive comprehension of characters beyond Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Hulk, Wolverine, The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Robin, Batgirl, Lex Luthor, Green Goblin, and Doc Oc.
Okay ... I'm about to collapse from exhaustion, but I've compiled a list of 64 sidekicks. I'll seed them, do some write-ups, and be able to share them in a couple of days.

I think historical icons/political figures could be a good one. You'd have to decide on some criteria for who makes it. One could easily come up with 65. Looking forward to seeing the side kicks. I cant think of near 65 so I might be guessing on some of the voting lol.
That would be awesome, Napoleon vs Genghis Khan? Lincoln vs Winston Churchill? That could be a lot of fun and even somewhat educational at the same time
Couple of random suggestions ... - One Hit Wonders: You could pull videos from YouTube and compare the two. Might be fun. - Sports Cars: Someone could research the specs on the vehicles and post them. We could finally pick a winner between the Corvette and the Viper. I do like the idea of political figures though; my only concern is that we may find that 65 is too small of a number.
