Comparing the Ravens situation to the Dolphins over the past several seasons is one of the most ridiculous things I've read on these forums.
The Ravens had an off year as most Super Bowl winning teams coming off 6 straight playoff appearances do. The Dolphins have had an off 21st century. The Ravens will likely be back in a year or two. The Dolphins are more likely to sink further down into the NFL basement once again. Maybe they improve in 2014, but there is absolutely nothing about the culture and recent history of this team that says they will. I'd fully expect another 4-7 win season if nothing changes with this staff.
Doesn't mean they cannot say stupid things. Comparing him to Matt Millen is stupid and makes anyone's argument really hard to take seriously. It is like they are just thinking of the worst person they can without putting any thought or reason in their argument.
Once again, Ireland may draft better than Millen, but when you consider the total package: The public embarrassments, the arrogance, the failures in free agency - he is every bit as bad as Millen, IMHO.
Oh brother, they won the Super Bowl last year and have advanced past the wildcard round every season since 2008. I don't see how the situation is remotely comparable. When you win tons of playoff games and a Super Bowl you get the benefit of the doubt when you hit a bump in the road.
Nope, not even close. Bringing up Matt Millen is like bringing up Hitler or pedophilia or any other thing people use when they can't make a good argument.
