Herm is gone and the rumor is, from PTI, that Pioli wants to hire Shanahan.
Not too surprising, considering that Shanahan is friends with Belichick.

Dolphins defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni also is believed to be on the Chiefs’ list. Pasqualoni had a down season in Miami, but he’s highly respected around the league and used to work with Pioli for two seasons at Syracuse.

One of the radio stations out here reported this a couple of days ago, only problem is they had no way to prove it. I don't think Shanny the coach is too bad, but Shanny the GM is what turned out to be his downfall.
