This helps Cleveland alot. I still don't think they're better than Orlando or Boston. Especially Boston.
If the cavs win it all....... (Kobe Bryant calls Lebron James) ring ring......ring ring.... LeBron: "Hello..." Kobe: "You can't win without Shaq! CLICK!!" LeBron: "Who is this? Hello.....?"
Rent-A-Shaq is in business again! Just be sure to read the fine print. Championship guaranteed or your money back.* * You may be criticized that you cannot win without Shaq in the long run...
Shaq to Cleveland http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-shaq062409&prov=yhoo&type=lgns MODS: Sorry, missed Ronnie's post. Please delete.
From the ESPN article: "When the Suns made the trade, they had the best record in the Western Conference. This year, they finished in the lottery." cleveland finsihed with 66 wins this year. i say 53 next year.
You cant blame that all on Shaq. They should have never agreed to the trade to begin with. He never fit in with there system. And when Porter tried to impliment a system to help focus on him the other players griped and complained about "Whaaa this isnt how the suns play, whhaaa I have to play defense, whaaaa!".
seriously? shaq is the "big whaaaaa!" he's always been able to back it up with his play, but at 37 (i think) he can't anymore and just cripples franchises.
Yeh he's 37. And your right he has been a prima donna. But when he's motivated he still has some gas in the tank. We;ll see.
it's hard to work with a guy who always demands the ball, never jumps, and walks to his position on the court. his whole "when he's motivated" attitude is contagious and everybody on the team gets lazy. before the trade to phoenix he got into a fight with pat riley (where zo had to hold shaq back). shaq complained that he never got enough touches because riley's offense was terrible. riley said, what's terrible is that you're too fat to get into position to get the ball, and when you do get it, you're too old to be able to finish. i agree a lot with riley, and blame shaq for the heat having to rebuild.
This is Cleveland doing anything it can to try keeping LeBron after next year. Should be interesting to see how things play out next season.
Shaq will help the Cavs way more than the Suns. Shaq fits in better with the Cavs and he wont be asked to do much. Shaq is still better than most of the centers in the league but its a more athletic league now. Pick and rolls will hurt the cavs alot but i think they got a great deal. Lets see who they add as the PF. If its Wallace wow this team will be good
I dare Shaq to try to do the same thing to Lebron that he did to Wade when shaq was with the heat..... knock him down when he tries to drive on him during practice.
I dont think Shaq will clog the lane but draw ppl to the oppisite side of the hoop. Plus the Cavs have decent shoots. Lets see who they get at PF
Shaq was pretty much done in Miami during our championship run, I can't imagine his impact would be that great in Cleveland.
It won't. They are still an unathletic team that can't guard the pick and roll. Teams will eat them alive if they don't acquire a PF.
