Interesting Shockey is worth more than JT. :pity: I don't think so but I guess the Saints think so. :shifty:

I think it makes the JT trade look even better.. now hopefully the Saints have a far better record than Washington in 2008

 

Shockey is a great TE but I can't help but fel the Saints gave up too much.

 

Two totally different positions, two totally different ages, etc...no comparison at all.

 

shockey will have more than 90 catches this season.

 

I don't know he is pretty injury prone.

 

to take it further.. it makes JT's trade even better. He's only got one, maybe two years left and still commanded nearly the same value as the amazing jeremy.

 

I think this trade was going to be done eventually. This trade was rumored prior to the draft.

 

The Saints made out like bandits on this one. Shockey has a loudmouth and can never back it up. He had a great season his rookie year and ever since all he's been around the NFL is hype. He'll have a solid game or two in a row for you but for the most part he drops wide open passes on a consistent basis (then gets a 7 yard gain and dances like the team won the Super Bowl) and just flat out easy balls. Hearing that he's a Top 5 TE from people is such a joke. He was the third best TE in his DIVISION.

 

The Saints needed a tight end very badly, that's why they gave up a lot for an injury-prone child, Schockey.

 

I think shockey is going to be a great fit in new orleans. Drew brees has alot of options now...
