I think he should win that award, he already has played much better than he did in DC, he has twice the sacks as he had in DC and that fumble recovery for a TD set an NFL record.
"If" Jt were to win that award, he would be the second in a row as Chad Pennington won it last year, for the second time...

WHAT! Over TOM BRADY??!?
I don't think he will. At this point he probably shouldn't either.#1dolphinsfan, miamiron and Firesole like this. -
Yeah i was thinking depending how he finishes the year JT would be in consideration for sure.
As Gardenhead pointed out Palmer must be considered, maybe Cedric Benson too. I guess it will depend on who else could be considered.
I don't know for sure but Brady too?
JT has been phenomenal so far, much better than what i even expected to see from him. I don't think a shot at a probowl would be out of the question for him if he keeps up this pace and continues getting sacks, FF, knockdowns -

I actually think the winner should be Benson. It's a longer and more impressive comeback from bust territory than it is from injury ala Brady or Taylor. But I do think all three should be on the final list.

JT, Brady, or Edwards will get it

If they chose any one but brady it would be a shock.
He seems to have the lock on everything in the league.
I don't care if he is good or not, I can't stand him or his team. Their arrogance is way over the top.
And remember-I am prejudiced for the Dolphins. I hate to admit any one is better than us. Right or wrong.gafinfan likes this. -
brady has already been practicing the moment the voters don't vote for him, just like the look he gave the ref after the Suggs phantom call.
He'll look at the voting panel and be like " common! common!" at which point they will decide to change their decision.
EDIT: after thinking about it, if Brady is JT's roadblock he could injure Brady this week, i mean that would give JT a better shot to win the award from here on out. -
maybe if we knock them out of the playoffs again.
JT wouldn't hurt Brady on purpose. 1-he's not like that. 2-they're friends.gafinfan likes this. -
Benson gets my vote.

Ricky Williams should win it

As much as I HATE Tom Brady (and not so much for who he is, just because of his team, how hyped he gets by the Media, and his coach), he deserves to win it this year. He suffered a season ending injury, and has come back and gradually been getting back to his old shape very quickly. He looked trashy at the start of the year, but has steadily been getting better despite what I had thought and hoped was the case.
He'll lock it up for sure, in part due to the NFL's love for him, and in part due to the fact that he really does deserve it. -
JT could win it over Brady if he makes a huge play that helps us beat the Pats and win the division. Palmer, Benson, and Ochocinco could all steal votes from each other since they play for the same team.
-
Certainly worthy of consideration, but Tammy Brady the media darling will have it on lockdown. Unless JT registers about 10 sacks over the rest of the season and a few more TDs.

Some think Taylor should be. -
Imo Benson. But Taylor deserves strong credit.
Brady winning would be laughable, though if he plays as well against his much rougher second half sched as he did against the Titans and Tampa (lol) then I could see him winning. -

i agree that right now today, it is between Benson and Brady .... with of course, Brady carrying all the clout
the season is only half (well pretty close) ... so a lot of football yet to be played -
