I read this article in the Point After section of the latest SI issue that came out this last week. The article details the author's story of how the 1972 Miami Dolphins Perfect Season helped bring her family back together after her brother died at the age of 9 of a brain tumor. This article I feel has special meaning at the current moment as some of our fellow Fins fans are experiencing Hurricane Gustav and will be using the 2008 Miami Dolphins as an escape for what they are going through. This article shows the power of sports when we need it most and is a very worthy read. Here is the link: FanNation | Point After | The Healing Season
I read that the other day in the car while I was waiting to pick up my kids from school. All I could think of was my son and his younger sister... Something was in my eye...yeah, that's it.
Hey Rick! "The last part of your life, you realize that your family were the only people thinking of you at all."
