Except for a few remaining contests the college football regular season is finished as the attention now turns to the conference championship games. In this final version of Risers and Sliders for the '08 campaign, we look at several unheralded players across the nation, underrated prospects who have the potential for long careers in the NFL.

Looks like the OL depth in next years draft continues to get stronger according to these guys.
William Beatty/OT/Connecticut: The Huskies left tackle has been one of the nation's premier pass protectors the past two seasons. Beatty further proved his worth to scouts last week after limiting South Florida's George Selvie, one of college football's best pass rushers, to just a single tackle. He needs to pick up the intensity of his run blocking yet Beatty's size, athleticism and footwork has caught the attention of NFL decision makers.
I watched that game. He did a good job in my opinion. I think he could be a candidate at RT.

I thought Beatty did a good job of riding Selvie with his arms and keeping him wide. Moved his feet well.

I was not able to catch the game that night but I have been able to catch a few of the other UCONN games. Good size and moves his feet well, better pass protector than run blocker at this point.
Interesting prospect in a very deep OT class this year.

This year I haven't gone to as many...but I was at the UConn game. I was just too busy getting drunk to pay attention to Beatty.

George Selvie is very overrated! He never shows up in big games.
