    Robin (1)

    Sidekick to: Batman

Advantages: Perhaps the most famous sidekick. Ever. Eventually got his own comic. Cool utility belt.

Disadvantages: Bad rep amongst hardcore comic enthusiasts. Almost wrecked film franchise. Those ridiculous tights.

    vs. Kid Flash (8)

    Sidekick to: Flash

Advantages: Similar powers to his mentor. Straight shooter. First sidekick to take on his mentor’s identity.

Disadvantages: Health and power stability issues. Had to eat constantly to maintain metabolism.

    ***

    Kato (5)

    Sidekick to: Green Hornet

Advantages: Martial arts specialist. Driving skills.

Disadvantages: Dicey ethnicity (Japanese until being Japanese became a drawback). Unable to kick Robin’s ***.

    vs. Bullwinkle J. Moose (4)

Sidekick to: Rocky the Flying Squirrel

Advantages: Optimism, persistence and traditional ethics and moral standards. College football star.

    Disadvantages: Legendary dim-wittedness.

    ***

    Batgirl (6)

    Sidekick to: Batman and Robin

Advantages: Motorcycle and combat skills. Hot.

Disadvantages: Could be interpreted as a sidekick to a sidekick. Along with Robin, almost wrecked film franchise.

    vs. Battlecat (3)

    Sidekick to: He-Man

Advantages: Incredibly ferocious. Perhaps the most badass of all animal sidekicks.

Disadvantages: Alter ego, Cringer, is incredible wuss. Allows He-Man to ride on his back.

    ***

    Bucky (7)

    Sidekick to: Captain America

Advantages: Skilled acrobat, fighter, scout, and assassin. Vibranium shield. Eventually became Captain America.

Disadvantages: Known for “Bucky Clause”: “No one in comics stays dead except Bucky, Jason Todd, and Spider-Man's Uncle Ben and girlfiend Gwen Stacy,"

    vs. Jimmy Olsen (2)

    Sidekick to: Superman

Advantages: Prototypical sidekick. Nose for news.

Disadvantages: Received a ridiculous array of silly powers over the years, from monstrous beard growth to porcupine quills.

I missed the first round, but let me just ask why there's no Microchip? The Punisher was (and for all I know, still is) Marvel's coolest superhero (or in his case, anti-hero). Micro was a great sidekick! He had to be a better choice than some of the stiffs from round 1!

Dol-Fan Dupree Tank? Who is Tank? I am Guy Incognito.
