Sidney Rice added roughly eight pounds to his 6'4/202-pound frame this offseason. Much needed bulk for the lanky ex-Game****. Rice has taken over as a starter opposite Bernard Berrian this spring. The team may have asked Rice to add the weight with intentions of putting him at flanker, which requires more over-the-middle route running. Berrian would be the deep threat at split end. As long as Tavaris Jackson has improved his game they can be serious contenders and will probably steal the NFC North away from the Aaron Rodgers led Packers. The key is Jackson. They have the best duo of Offensive Line and Defensive Line in the NFL, and games are won in the trenches. Add that in with Adrian Peterson, it really does come down to Jackson's progress. He will be the reason this team is 9-7 or 12-4, possibly better.
