He’s dealing with a shoulder injury according to the Packers head coach. They also cut him with failure to disclose physical condition designation. Now I wouldn’t be against adding him if he’s healthy, but with injury and retirement talk, I think he’s likely to not play again or end up in New England for one last run at a Super Bowl.

It’s unclear when the injury occurred. Bennett started the first seven games of the season. However, the Packers contend Bennett failed to disclose a physical condition, which implies that the injury existed even before he signed as a free agent.
Per Rapoport, Bennett may try to play through it. Before that happens, though, the Patriots will have to clear him to play.

yes his contract is done this off season he can opt out and sign wherever, so my inclination is he signs away from the 9ers goes back to the pats and the pats plan doesn't change and they picked up another 4th rounder
