More TE's the merrier.

He's here to compete not be guaranteed a spot IMO but you could end up right for sure. -
Since we won't really have a decent QB to speak of, we're gonna be running a lot of 13 groupings and try to either dink and dunk or run the ball down their throat. ;-)
Seriously, this is what drives me crazy about our organization. It seems like they sign people to just sign them instead of having a plan. We see year after year the Patriots sign guys who they have a plan for and a lot of time they are helpful and productive. You look at us, and it seems we just throw **** up against the wall and see if it sticks. To me, that is nonsensical. I was hoping that our strategy would change when we hired Flores and the other Patriot coaches. Time will tell, but they better start showing they have a plan and start signing guys who actually make sense and can help the team or IMO this rebuild is going to backfire.Last edited: Mar 14, 2019 -
Also means that we never have to see Gesicki 'blocking' and we will use his strengths instead

Walford's stat lines:
2015: 28 rec, 329 yards, 3 TD
2016: 33 rec, 359, 3 TD
2017: 9 rec, 80 yards, 0 TD
2018: no catches
He was a 24 year old rookie, which is often a warning sign to me that a player won't develop much. Seems like he might have maxed out in college, and then hit a wall pretty quickly in the NFL. My guess is that he's easily 5th of 5 TEs on the depth chart, and will be cut in the preseason. -
These moves kind of tell me the staff may be on to the idea. -
I actually feel better about this plan than I do about our previous efforts to buy admission to the playoffs with overpriced FAs that end up destroying the team in the long run.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
He wasnt successful last season but we also used him in ways that directly contradict what he does best from the TE position.
If they move him it's not the worst idea but I'm not entirely sure they should give up on him at TE either.
Especially the coaches who werent here. Grier may have his own views though obviously. -
