Can be had for a late round pick supposedly, thoughts??
Mike Sims-Walker could be on the trading block, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Sims-Walker has two games with zero catches this year and is apparently losing snaps to Tiquan Underwood. A trade would make sense for both sides, although Sims-Walker wouldn't bring back anything more than a late-round pick. For now, leave MSW on your bench and see how this plays out.

Watch the Pats pick him up.
Tully Banta-Cain, and Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis would both approve.Pandarilla, dolfan32323, FinsAreLife and 4 others like this. -
Another UCF product too

brandon marshalls team mate at UCF

Then we'd have 2 quality WR being used mostly as decoys.....:escape: -

MSW would not fit in with the Wr corps, whose place would he take, Hartline's?
-
Also, we just don't know enough about his family let alone what they might be able to give us. :shifty:

For a late round pick I'd do it in a heartbeart. The more weapons for our young QB the better.

Wouldn't be opposed to it at all if it really could happen for a late-rounder. I like the WR corps of Marshall and MSW, with Bess in the slot and Hartline as the 4th guy than I do the WR corps of Marshal and Hartline, with Bess in the slot and Roberto Wallace.

Walker was also better then Marshall until his injury at UCF.

So long as we settle for turning into a passing offense...that all seems to be up in the air atm...
-
If you mean “a team that relies on great passing to win”, welcome to the NFL, because all 32 teams need that.
We’re not in the Sims-Walker market. Nor would we be in the Jones-Drew market if he became available. Doesn’t fit what we want to do. -
Oh, and it also takes away from Fasano, and we know how Henning and Sparano like to target Fasano.FinFan_Est.1984 likes this. -
would be a great fit as our #2. cant double marshall and walker. walker is a very good WR

And theres nothing premature about giving targets to MSW over Hartline. Its no knock on Hartline, or a huge demand to upgrade over Hartline who is a young solid player. But you play your best guys, and always try to improve every area of your team whenever possible, especially if it presents good value...
MSW for a late round pick is good value, and a nice upgrade.djphinfan likes this. -

Having four good Wr's with mouths to feed is a GREAT thing though. You don't get rid of Hartline unless it's via a trade that's worth it. You cut either Moore, or Wallace and play the better Wr's.
It won't take anything away from Fasano. The 3rd Wr has as many catches as him, and they've gone to the number 3 Wr more so it would be nothing more than competition between 2 Wr's for playing time. -
I don't think there's any truth to this rumor. If he could be had for a late round pick, he would have been traded by now. He's the best they got.

They like to use the TE, sure, but what they really like to do is run the ball, stretch the field with outside passing which opens up the middle. A Wr, and or the TE can be the middle target but it's all about making the defense overload a certain area, then take advantage. -
Just trade for Sims-Walker, start Thigpen and go full run and shoot/spread offense. Wouldn't be a good idea, however the Dolphins offense would be very exciting.
-
That would be a huge pick up

I would love this move, I have seen marshall and bess define their roles, sims walker would be excellent at the #2 with marshall and bess next to him..
I would be all over this if I was Ireland, especially because I believe we need doses of good chemistry on this team..I believe in that...he's young, has roots, and if its inexpensive he should be on our list, cause you know we are on his. -
I simply say your wrong with thinking you know the way this team runs things.
When Sparano comes out and says Desides was right then get at me. -

If they'll accept the 5th rounder we got for Ted Ginn, I'd do it. In a heartbeat.
Chad Henne gets the ball to the perimeters of the field. Mike Sims-Walker is a perimeter player. Right now Garrard favors Mike Thomas because he's more an interior player and Garrard is not a guy that works the perimeters I don't think.miamitd13 likes this.
