Eric Wood/C/Louisville: Wood has been the forgotten man in a draft full of good center prospects. He's a tough blocker with a great head for the game and has been resilient for Louisville, starting every game the past four years. Wood is turning into one of the draft's most underrated blockers as we move towards April
I like Eric Wood. I watched him against Cincinnati and I liked what I saw but a few things I didn't like. He didn't do a good job of getting in the second level and he lost his balance quite a few times in run block.
Larry English/DE-OLB/Northern Illinois: The Huskies' dynamic pass rusher has impressed scouts the past two years with his ability to disrupt the action. English, a terrific athlete, is expected to light up the combine next February with his workout. His play late in the game last week against Central Michigan helped spur an NIU comeback that forced the game into overtime.
He played a hell of a game against Central Michigan. Glad to see he's going up draft boards as expected by many of us here.
Jamarko Simmons/WR/Western Michigan: Simmons, a three-year starter who's shown steady progress in college, could be one of the best possession receivers in the nation. He's a well-sized target (6 feet, 2 inches and 225 pounds) with reliable, consistent hands. Simmons has already broken the century mark in receiving yards and is on pace to catch 100 passes this season.
Never heard of him. Anyone got any info on him?

Add Russell Okung onto an already very deep OT draft if he decides to declare. I think we would have a very good shot of getting a really good OT with one of our 2 2nd rounders if the head office decides to go in that direction.

Yeah, Tony's been high on Jamarko for a while. I've not seen him play so can't comment, but I do remember seeing him being ejected in a game on ESPN where he threw a kick and then a tantrum.
He was a highly recruited wideout who switched to tailback and then only went back to WR in 2006. He's huge in the 235lb area, a physical, big play guy with seemingly great maturity. Doesn't hurt that his mentor is Greg Jennings' father Greg Sr. Looks to me like he could easily nestle in the 4th round area having broken all of Greg Jennings' WM records.

Sounds like Brandon Marshall with maturity. Then again, I'm basing this off of a description and without any film lol.
Boomerluxury_boxIt's always good to have a mental picture of someone to compare him to. Ed Orgeron always told his scouts at Ole Miss that when you're bringing tape back of a potential recruit to always have an NFL comparison because it helps create a minds eye picture.

Thanks for everything Boomer. Appreciate the help you gave me and the thoughts you give us here on these prospects.
I think his stock will depend on his 40 time. He ran a early 4.6 according to some draft sites.

Thanks for the tip Boomer, never really thought scouts would really compare recruits that way. Gives me something tangible to go off of from now on.
