Berardino or Kelly speculated that he may have a seperated shoulder because he had a tough time moving his arm.

    the difference, smiley actually is...

He missed half the season last year, half the season for the niners in 2007, and now he's missing practices yet again, with what could be a season ending injury. Theres an undeniable trend there.

There is no question at all that he is an injury concern, and its one of the reasons some were pissed that we traded Satele. He had some ability to play guard and even if he has stayed as a backup both Smiley and Thomas ended last year on the IR.

yup....i agree....ronnie got murdered here and at FH cause of freak injuries....thumb caught in a facemask, torn acl trying to make a tackle (hes a halfback) etc etc.....i chalked that up to being "unlucky" others said he was injury prone.........wrong.

    smiley is injury prone

with Smiley, it was easy, we along with the FO hoped that he could make it through the season .... now we know he won't ... and as a result, won't likely be back next year ...

i don't think he was anywhere near our best OL ...

shows the intelligence of the parcells trick of starting backups for brief periods early in the season just to get them used to starting and make sure the coaching staff feels comfortable with them if they need to start.

Remeber earlier this year when Thomas lost some playing time? Going to pay off this Sunday
