NFL suspended Chiefs CB Sean Smith three games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
Smith was pled guilty to DUI last month, receiving two years probation.
He'll miss games against the Texans, Broncos and Packers before being eligible to return Week 4 against the Bengals.
The Chiefs already had some cornerback concerns before Smith's suspension.
While he's out, expect Phillip Gaines, first-round rookie Marcus Peters and Jamell Fleming to get the bulk of the reps at corner.
