for 15 weeks we run on 1st, then on 2nd throw a short pass and on 3rd get stuck on 3rd and 8+ and now we change it up by passing on 1st, and 100% running on 2nd and getting stuck with 3rd and 8+ again.
How PREDICTABLE is this douche bag man wow.

He's terrible. He's truly terrible. We thought we had it bad with Henning.

Running on 2nd down is overwhelmingly a league-wide trend. You can basically set your watch by it.

I know. We need to fire Sherman since he cannot block for the OL or catch passes.
Lot's of angst for a coaching staff that has milked 8 wins out of a team that has the talent to win no more than 6 games.finfansince72 likes this. -
Keith I dunno what else to say. Pretty obvious today...

The play was called. It's up to the players to gain the yards and the coaches to show them how to do it
Personally I think we should fire Ireland - it's his fault we are not prepared. Almost everyone on this team that matters is 2nd tier

Look, I don't think Mike shows a good feel for play calling, but the play call itself is nothing more than a minor aspect of the issue. The issue is the talent on the field cannot consistently execute. That's not going to change no matter what the play call is, and until the talent is fixed, the fans are going to be criticizing the coaching staff. It's been that way for years now, and the consistent problem has been the talent.
Also, I'm not against making a coaching change, but I just want the expectations to be realistic. This team, as it is constructed, will never come close to winning a Superbowl, no matter who the coach is. If they don't get rid of Jeff Ireland and Dawn Aponte, nothing is going to change. -
Isn't that what coaches are supposed to do? Put players in position to he succesful with the talent they have.
You're completely glossing ovwr issues. -

It has to fall on the coaches as well. The Dolphins went into two must win games against teams with losing records, and not only lost, but they scored SEVEN POINTS total. How does a coaching staff not rally their team to at least be competitive? They look like a high school team, and they aren't exactly playing stiff competition. The deserve to be fired. Jets/Bills-36, Dolphins-7. I've turned the game off, so who knows, maybe the Jets score even more.
I haven't been this embarrassed to be a Dolphins fan since 2006. I mean 2007 was bad, but you knew it would at least get a little better in 2008. And 2011 had the "Suck For Luck" bowl which has clearly worked well for the Colts, as he is basically the main reason they're any good, but at least their fans get to have bonus football. Not to mention our season was ended by the Bills and Jets and we were knocked into 3rd place....biggest embarrassment in years.
Now all we have to look forward to is who will be fired. Fantastic. But I've been waiting for Ireland to go since 2011, so I guess that's good. -
If you are saying that the players on this PROFESSIONAL football team cannot consistently get 4 yards off a screen play, then we have bigger problems and this team is hopeless
I hope you are not saying Sherman is purposely calling play's that he knows we can't convert -

Is our talent horrible, or is the coaching horrible? I cant decide anymore...maybe a clean start isn't all bad...

Ok 7 points total in 2 games you need 1 win to get into the playoff says all you need to know about this team, it's coaching staff and it's management. I hate knee jerk reactions but this opinion has been brewing for a week, and this team and staff needs to be gutted. Like by the end of the night with offices leaned out by this time tomorrow.

I thought our D was just as bad!
