0-60 in 1 minute is pushing the laws of physics; it's mind-boggling that you could get the torque to transfer to the pavement through rubber efficiently enough to achieve that.

We're talking here about torque-to-pavement through rubber...think about it: if you burn rubber even for just a fraction of a second, that 1-second figure becomes physically impossible. It has to be like the tires are glued to the pavement and every pound of torque transfers perfectly efficiently.

Actually Nabo no...jet cars use the exhaust to propel them, but top fuel dragsters are just supercharged 500 cubic inch hemi engines. It's completely torque-to-pavement through the tires, and believe it or not, they do burn some rubber at launch and STILL hit 0-60 in .4 seconds. Think about it, they pass through the 1/4 mile at over 300 mph in about 4 seconds.

i was really expecting to see like a bright rust-orange ford fiesta with one hub cap and a muffler hanging on the ground that could blow your doors off.seeing a race car like that pull up next to me..umm yea i would expect it to leave me in the dust even if i was in a corvette.
