The thing about the story that doesn't make any sense to me, is why did she still go up to his hotel room after he asked her to have a foursome with his friends? She still went into the hotel room, but "only" to watch them have sex, and didn't want to participate.

The story doesn't make very much sense and sounds like someone looking to cash in on his upcoming pay day.

 

I thought I read that she was in the room and then he asked her to have a 4-some. She declined and said that she would watch him and the others have sex. Conley (allegedly) started having sex with her (Hard to tell if she gave the green light at this point or not) and at some point told him to stop. He refused, finished, and then kicked her out of the room.

If she did indeed tell him to stop, and he didn't stop, he raped her. Period.

The key to this story is what the witnesses said. They both said that he was never alone with her and that they (Conley and the victim)didn't have sex. However, if the rape kit comes back that he did have sex with her, that looks guilty as hell.

If no more evidence/facts come out before Thursday, he may fall all the way out of the draft. And if negative facts/evidence come out he most certainly will fall all the way out.

 

And let me also say, as a father of 4 little girls, I'm extremely biased...lol.

I hope he didn't commit what he's accused of, and yes, I do know that there are some POS gold digging women out there, but I will always take the woman's side until there's evidence to the contrary. Yes, that may be "guilty until proven innocent", but the "cry rape" woman is not very common and, unfortunately, the "I'm bigger than the law male athlete" is very common.

Yeah, but Collins was never even considered a suspect and look what happened to him. Conley is the only suspect..or soon may be. If he's charged with rape he won't play next year even if he's found not guilty because the trial (I'm assuming that he will take it to trial) will last nearly the entire season.

Very poor. I'm all for having some fun and getting with the ladies. But if you're in the spotlight like a pro athlete, you have to be extremely careful.

I agree with you, no matter what the circumstances or how sketchy it sounds, if she told him to stop at any point - then that is rape. I have two young daughters at home, so understand that what I said was not weighed lightly.

The entire story, from both parties, just doesn't add up or make very much sense to me. From her side of things, why in the hell would she still go up to the hotel room with him to watch others having sex if she wasn't interested? From his side, if he's innocent, why didn't he want to talk to the authorities after it happened (to clear his name and proclaim his innocence) and why were the authorities withholding the name of the individual from the media (his lawyers?)? There's too many unanswered questions and this storyline is chock full of holes and relevant details.

At the very least he was completely stupid to be in this kind of situation to begin with. Also, I'm kind of wondering if this woman was a prostitute (hanging out in a hotel elevator after 3am?), and since she didn't want to give the authorities an interview or cooperate until speaking with lawyers some time after, and THEN relaying her side of this story. Something isn't adding up.

I wanted no part of Conley before this happened, and would just throw his name into the garbage can after this incident, whether he did it or not.

Got to 100% scratch Conley off your board with this. At best, a late round pick - 5th at the earliest, where you basically play the waiting game. No way you could take a potential rapist with an early pick.

Caleb Brantley should also be a complete scratch. I personally would scratch Mixon as well, but I know someone will take him, it occurred far enough in the past, and wasn't domestic. Someone will take those excuses and throw out the "second chance" BS they always do.

I would stay way the hell far away from them though. Just not worth it.

Likely a hoax.

If anyone had plans on drafting Conley they should send the team P.I to interview the other 2-3 people in the room and get some facts. This could be another Tunsil situation and drop him well below his projection allowing some team to get great value on the second day of the draft. Would be great if that was us.

 

Caleb Brantley is also in trouble for allegedly knocking a woman out, I really liked him as a prospect but with this up in the air? No way I think anyone drafts him with this hanging over his head.

If he is guilty I hope he never plays a down in the NFL, if not I hope we get him, lol.

 

Colllins and Tunsil never really suffered anything from sanctions from the NFL. I feel no matter what, a criminal trial will not develop and they will settle with the victim. Or she will drop all charges (or both). Point is, based on trends in the NFL, he will be able to play and if you want a talented corner that probably is scared stiff right now (no pun intended), you can get a bargain if you sit tight.
