Some Madden Gameplay

What they say is better, but they sound really really really fake. They will still repeat the same stuff 100000x too. So not to excited about that.

I love Madden though, have it on reserve for Wii. Can't wait.

 

Oh it looks amazing. Every year I love Madden, some people complain they don't change enough but I usually like the small new features.

Love the graphics in the second video you posted. I just think it will have some of the small annoying problems like every year.

Which system are those from? PS3?

 

i dont have as big a problem with the madden gameplay as many of you other guys...but this certainly looks awesome. my only gripe is that they chose collingsworth as one of the announcers.

 

wow... It looks great. The commentary sounds good. It's always going to repeat itself the more you play it. Theres no way around that. Deal with it. I like the replay playback feature. I think thats really cool, hopefully the commentary that goes along with the play will be accurate at least.

I'm pretty excited for this after seeing these clips...

 

I've got to admit those videos look very impressive especially the first one with the commentators, looks like this could be the first true next-gen Madden experiance.

Probably only slightly better than the Wii's graphics. Madden for the PS2 from here on out will be just the same engine with not many changes. Then again, that sums up the next-gen ones too...

But so far it doesn't look so bad. Almost feels like I am watching NFL on Fox. Still, EA could've done a lot more with their ESPN license. The menus and presentations for ESPN NFL 2k really made me feel like I was watching Sportscenter and Sunday NFL Countdown right down to the music.

 

haha they still stand around like dumbfounded morons after each play. When are they going to get more player interaction? I saw NCAA added a team blocking feature which has your team mates running up field with you and cheering as you run for the score... it's a start. It's seemingly a small thing but I bet it'll add a lot more to the game play experience should they incorporate it more.

 

Who the hell do they have in the character modeling department? Everyone in this game is way too scrawny-looking. Huge heads, too.

 

Man, I REALLY hope they've added user controlled celebrations. I've been waiting for that since Madden '95 on my Genesis. Please someone tell me it's there!?!?

I just want to know what the Franchise features are...

If they let you edit your players like you could back in the 2005 version or whatever, I am good to go and Ill buy it this year....

If not, then damn....2005 version here I come....again

 

Same here...they keep making things like Superstar mode that i could care less about i wish they would just put more time in the franchise

 

Madden is usually an afterthought for me. Looking forward to NCAA 09 much more. Looks like they are at least trying to break out of the monotony with Madden though.

 

you could edit players in the 07 & 08 versions. 08 for sure, I dont fully recall 07. The only thing you really coudlnt edit is the positions they play. which sucks. Be nice to switch guys from OT to OG etc... I don't think you could edit player ratings once you got inside the franchise, but if you wanted to, you could just edit the roster, save it as something else, then load it, then start your franchise with that roster and... boom! edited players in your franchise.

Not to mention I want to be able to change stuff without the BUGS....

I dont want the guys age to change and all that mess...

But #1 for me as far as editing goes is the positions.

They'll list someone as a RG or LT and I want to change that up I want to do it right then and there and not wait for some update that may or may not fix it.

I did read that formation subs ARE back in this season. Which gives me hope about the editing.

Now as far as owner mode, although I'd like to be able to fix things up prices wise, its not a deal breaker for me so long as they have things like player Morale, and the newspaper coverage...the little things that make it fun for me...like Training Camp/Mini Camp before Pre-Season...a WORKING Franchise not something that gets stuck a few seasons in (which goes back to the Bug issue)...
