The dangerous part is listening to constant knee jerk reactions from fans who think two years is a long time to hold onto a coach. Then moan about how come this team has no continuity. I am sure some on here will be willing to give the next coach another LOOOOOONG two years to fix things. Can't make this stuff up. On top of it, a coach who had a playoff season his 1st year

 

none really, I don't think he can even make a stand in his third year or 4th.

 

Unless Miami lands a huge free agent contract this offseason, Miami looks better in 2019 as they can unload more contracts with much less dead cap space. 2019 is a much better year to blow it all away.

 

Give a coach/gm combo one year and a half. That's it. First year is in full though playoffs are expected. By halfway through the second season must be at least even in wins and losses, and the fans on messageboards MUST say really good things about him, except for the few that constantly complain - they are there to keep it real.

 

Wake can continue to be a pass rush specialist. James can continue being a top 10 tackle. Tannehill can see if he can bounce back and be the quarterback he was the final 8 games before he got hurt.

Pouncey and Thomas need to be done. They are not living up to their contract.

The only answer is clearly that Gase sucks. Burke sucks. Everyone sucks. Just fire everyone every year until we win the SB. That's how good teams operate.

 

look at josh McDaniels at pats how was his head coaching tenor? he got fired after 2 years same situation 8-8 then 3-9 and fired and you think hes the best OC in the game? his job is very very easy having brady, he will get another HC job and it will be the same outcome.

 

Good teams don't overreact. They don't throw temper tantrums whenever something bad happens. They win by trusting in the people they hire and not threatening to fire everyone whenever things don't go as planned.

I know you're mad that the Dolphins are once again a bad football team, but you're acting like a 2-year old. Adam Gase is a good football coach. We're not going to improve by constantly throwing people under the bus and always looking for a new HC after 2 years. We found our guy, just need to give them some time to develop a winning football team.

 

you got part right, good teams adapt!! not overreact, everyone is so quick to say injuries happen then blame rt injury on us losing and not being on gase, stuff happens and you should plan or do something about it. If the team was that bad without RT for the yr they should have made a move for someone, and we did it was cutler and that's Gase decision so you cant let him off the hook for his poor judgment as a coach.

 

Well since you state that Adam Gase deserves to be fired this season, the burden is on you to back that statement up with solid evidence.

What evidence do you have that supports the thesis that Adam Gase deserves to be fired?

Is there any historical evidence of any team firing a head coach in his second season, after taking the team to the playoffs in his first season?

Is there any historical evidence to show that if any teams did do this...it benefited the franchise in the long run?

 

If the direction turns, I will eat those words. I won't be eating them after 28 games and after a season when the QB went down. What about you? Will you eat your words if things turn around next season and you wanted to burn it down so soon. Gase deserves at least three seasons, nothing less.

josh mcdaniels went 8-8 and got fired the next season going 3-9, as far as the playoffs im not sure if any team has made the playoffs he was 1 game out of the wild card in 2008 his first year.

 

Did he lose his starting QB in August of year two? Did his team have to completely reshuffle their schedule do to a Hurricane? Im gonna go out on a limb and guess...no.

 

we had to change 1 games for the hurricane the no bye thing sucks, as bad as it sucks I agree but injuries happen he had cutler then got orton I beleive!!! so it was a qb change!!! same as we had!!!

gase chose cutler, mcdaniels chose orton pretty much the same thing.

 

Gase didn't choose Cutler is the face of other more talented QBs. He didn't choose Cutler over guys like Brady or Rodgers. He chose Cutler over Matt Moore, which as evidenced by Sunday's game was absolutely the right choice even in hindsight.

We got dealt a really bad hand when Tannehill went down. Gase tried to think outside the box and improve our roster instead of just rolling with Moore, who he knew was bad news. So Cutler didn't work out. He played terrible. But sadly he played better than Moore, and we didn't exactly have a whole lot to choose from right before the start of the season.

 

in retro I don't think moore played bad for what he got handed he got the bad end of the stick he got the ravens on a 3 days of work and he got the pats, do you think cutler would have faired any better in those situations lol?

there was more options at qb you trade for someone like minn did with philly, im sure there was a handful of teams willing to trade us a qb. any of them good who knows but if cutler wasn't the best option on the table that was on gase and it was his decision and it was a bad one so you cant let him off the hook for it.

im not in the front office or know what options they looked at im sure Cleveland woulda let osweiler go im not at all saying we would have got a Philip rivers and stuff but there was better options than a retired garbage cutler for cheaper, could have got a young guy, but if you think gase didn't have a hard on to get cutler you are seriously dumb!!

 

by any means not give up any 1st rounder's or anything, but your the one always saying everyone is for sale and attainable in trades aren't you? so why don't you believe this.
