They should only take that trade with a handshake agreement on who not to pick. BUT there are other very worthy players who would be available at 15-32 and on so if you can get an extra high pick ya gotta at least think about it. Love McClain though.
Crowder is not a great player. He will never be a great player. However, he is a great role player. Man, when he was playing with ZT, he may have been the best second LB in the NFL. Anyone remember? Unfortunate to say, he is our best ILB, and when he is out we suck MUCH worse that when he is in, gotta count for something. Give him better surrounding talent, and he will be VG.
A friend of Wilfolk's tells me he would love to come home but, we may be dreaming. I really like Ferg but, it is that time. Hampton, and the others had better years, and any would be welcome additions.
Actually, what I remember is him having a very promising first year and then leveling off into a disappointingly average player...and remaining that way. That being said, he's better than Ayodele.......upgrading Crowder's position and then moving him to replace Ayodele, would be a major improvement.
I have been talking to a friend in Bama and they siad he was REALLY sick for a few days and its all over the news down there.
How about ? Brandon LaFell heard nothing but good things about him. Or for a safe number one pick we can get ginns cousin Greg Mathews
Yes he is that good and I would be shocked if he falls to us, no way we pass him up either. Cody has a piss-poor work ethic and is big for nothing. He did, but only after he was fed up with the dirty play of the Bulldogs. He did suspend himself though so I wouldnt call him a headcase.
for one half of the game hahahaha......good insight...that was going to be another question I was gonna ask, you guys think he even falls to 12??
The player I want to watch is S Earl Thomas from Texas. IMO S is a core position, however, that is a minority opinion.
Agreed I'm watching them all Sergio, Mac, Cody, Thomas!! But you are absolutely correct when u say safety is a need, it maybe the biggest need on the team......How many times this year did we see the opposition get behind the safeties for huge plays???
No thanks to Lafell that early. He hast the size and runs nice routes but he has small hands and tends to drop passes and also loses his concentration sometimes. Work ethic is in question... How many people are in Mathews family?
I know he is a ball hawk and is not afraid of contact but has he ever played FS because we already have 2 SS's on the team. I do like him but he is just a tad small for a Safety
No excuse to do what he did though. He may not be a headcase but he has to have a problem to even do that once...
yeah man, he flashed tonite big time..love how he pauses a fraction of a second when the ball is snapped, almost like he sees everything in slow motion, diagnoses, commits, and explodes. He also looks nice in coverage.. Got some issues changing direction, and sometimes gives up on the play if he chooses a poor angle, but he usually chooses the right one.
Yeah NFL coaches will get on him about giving up on plays and clean that up...but ur right it is almost like he sits for a second knowing he has this extra gear to kick in then goes......he looked sluggish in blitzing...
McClain played very well in spite of not being 100%. Kindle had his best game, 8 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 3.5 TL's. Neither disappointed. I still give the edge to Kindle.
should pick two ILB's in the draft might go w/ Dez Bryant if he is available @ 12 we already acquired Ryan Grice-Mullen @ WR & Brian Hartline shows signs of stepping up to the role of PlayMaker in 2010 (hence, we have three potential pieces @ WR w/ the addition of Bryant) going into the draft w/ 9 pics & only three real needs creates the possibility of moving up to snatch (ILB, NT & WR) what you really want & need in the draft. should be interesting look for: one NT, WR, Guard & TE w/ two ILB's = 6-pics, the other three can be dealt
While watching his game on the field prove his worth at #12, i watched they intangibles as well, This man gets in the faces of defensive teammates, handles himself like the proud pappa, and ocassionally gets the flag for unnecessary roughness... I got mcclain #1 and Graham as my backup in case Ro is taken before.
The boy is fast man really fast, good tackling, possesses nice personal moves to free from blocks and then uses speed to run pass blockers really didnt see him drop back into coverage much......the only thing, they got him at 250......I dont see it??
Agree, another site lists him at 236, which seemed about right. On tp of fast, he is quick, big difference. Hard to see him in coverage when they throw 11 times for the game.
Imo, eventually Sergio will be a good football player in the NFL,..I believe his body is gonna take a little time to develope, which is probably why coming out of high school it took him a while to get going on the college level, I see the same transition happening at the next level, he's listed at 250 but it looks 240, we'll see at the combine. He can run and chase beautifully, he's athletically versatile,, and he likes to hit people.... Of course you dont want him at end taking on the run game even though he has good pass rush skills, so he's gonna have to get better at shedding blocks and diagnosing in traffic. cause linebacker is where he'll be at..His athleticism and versatility as a player should allow him to learn good technique in pass coverage, so iam not worried there. Its kinda like an Aaron Maybin situation, tweener player tweener position. gotta let him run on the outside, If he was to fall to our 2nd I would be ok with the pick, we desperately need a run and chase cover linebacker with speed. desperately. his pass rush skills would translate into a good blitzer from the backer position. If Aaron maybin can go top 20, then who knows, so could this kid after he tests out....not on my board with the 12th though, but at the 2nd i would wanna closer look..
