Anyone been watching this show? It's pretty decent and should help fill the void after The Shield ends. I hope they don't kill off Opie next week.
Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam Promises a Major Jax-Clay Showdown He also expands upon Adam Arkin's neo-nazi character and how he affects the club's dynamic.
wasnt big on peg bundy gettin raped. this show isnt as good as i wanted it to be, but i'll keep watching. whens caprica start?
My thoughts exactly. I like opie a lot. Y'know, I've never watched the show. But I can't help but wonder if when they're shown going to a bar if it shows a sign that says "No colors allowed". If so do you suppose very many viewers misinterpret the sign's meaning?
I thought there was another thread about this...? Can't find it. Anyway, S2 seems to be plodding along; seems to just be marking time to a showdown between Jax and Clay, plus a blowout with the whities. The Gemma/rape arc is weak; I never would have thought they'd go this route with her, she's coming off as a weak sister. BIG contrast with the woman depicted before this to have possibly had a part in killing her "old man" and the father of her only son. I don't like the incongruity. It just seems slow to me, kind of purposeless other than to set up future episodes; NOT GOOD when you only do, what? 13 episodes per season? At this pace, better to just watch the "3-minute recaps" until something really happens.
gotta agree..big time. outside of some gratuitous nekked groupies, and cool bike riding, theres not a whole lot goin on. they are getting away from, what i thought was, the big twist and surprise of the show. jacks, jax...whatever the hells real daddy. perhaps they are stashing that plot-line for a rainy day?
I thought the rape thing was good bc it came out of nowhere. But after that, idk wtf they're trying to do. Seems like too many characters are doing 180s.
I'm digging it so far. I understand Gemma's motive for not telling anyone, and I have a feeling the dam is eventually going to burst and then we'll see some SAMCRO justice.
watched this show for the first time this week. Its ok, I agree though peg bundy should have shot that dude lol. I mean really oooo the guy has kids. **** him he's a rapist. Ill probably watch it now and then, but I don't know fx shows have a huge habit of letting me down later on as they just seem to get stupid. JMO.
That is the way it seems to be headed, yeah. Which will be nice...let's face it, guys - I don't know about you, but I don't watch this show for its tender human drama. These are a bunch of scumbags, and if we didn't identify with them the way we're supposed to, by design, we'd despise them. In real life, we'd be rooting for every last one of them to be scooped up by law and executed. So for me, in THIS particular show, the action can't start soon enough. The Gemma from last season would have shot him through the port-a-potty walls, wiped the gun clean and walked away. And she would have thrown a hand grenade in that cigar store on her way out.
the shield, nip tuck, rescue me, alot of those shows I started watching was a fan then had to stop because it just got stupid. Thus far I am liking sons of anarchy. I just hope it doesn't get too stupid.
Pretty much. I watched the Shield till the end, but it was def a let down. Rescue me was really good and then I just missed a few episodes and lost interest in it.
yeah it got to him doing too much illegal ****, no one catching him, shane doing the same. It was like jesus doode they always seem to make it out. too unrealistic.
The Shield was such a major letdown in that last season. I came to it late and watched the first seasons on DVD, then watched the last season live; I couldn't believe how badly the story played out and how ****ed up the ending was. I'm sure this won't be any different, since Sutter has total control and he has that "****-you" mentality toward the audience. But in the meantime, it is entertaining.
