I've been keeping my eyes out for a TV deal..wanted to get a 50" LCD...nothing less than 1080P, 120 Hz. Was planning on ending up with a Samsung due to price, but that may change. This week Best Buy is offering package prices on TV/PS3/Blu-Ray/Game combos. I had it run up last night (but then I got a call that my car was wrecked so I canceled the purchase) and for $1160 I was going to get... 46" Sony Bravia KDL-46W5100 120 GB PS3 Uncharted 2 (one of 3 games on the list) Year One (one of 3 Blu-Ray's on the list) Thoughts?
Do it. I read somewhere that Sony has sold a ton of PS3s already since black Friday. Approaching 500K I believe. Too bad for them they couldn't hit this price point earlier. It's obviously a price consumers are comfortable with.
Did you end up doing it? I went back and picked mine back up lol. It appears that the price may have dipped a bit again this week I'm looking at their ad and they have the deal on the V series for $989.99 (it was $1200 last week). I checked online and I think my deal is like $50.00 cheaper than last week. I'll see if they will adjust it...don't think it applies to package deals, but we'll see. Even if not it was one hell of a deal.
I just saw a commercial for best buy where it was a package deal with a ps3 and a Sony LCD for $1100 off. Came with a game and blu ray too (able to choose 1 of 3 in each case). Was very surprised to see such a commercial.
I have a 52" Bravia - KDL-52 something. I must say, it is one of the best TVs I've seen. Sharpest image out of all of my friends' set ups, and colors are beautiful. I didn't even get it profesionally tuned yet, but will do that in the future. All in all, usually you get what you pay for, but in this case, you are getting much more.
