If you're expensive, old, or underproductive, you're at the risk of being expendable. 24.0M on a backup 4-3 DT would've been a terrible financial move, and if we have YB's potential replacement, there's little reason to absorb his salary "just to be nice".

 

We had 24 million legitimate reasons to wisely let Langford walk.

 

If we draft a 1st round QB, I'd trade Wake while he still commands value b/c he'll be over the hill by the time we're peaking. Personally, I'd rather bring in a young talent who can grow with the team.

I know that was to DJ but my own .2 , great down hill speed, fantastic head on his shoulders, big, strong, closing speed, ok in covrg not fantastic, best use would be 3-4 DLB with ability to drop back if need be. Nowwwww in a 4-3 with 10 extra pounds this guy could be a force at DE

 

Players have probably had these same reaction to cuts for years .... they just didn't have twitter to tell people about them, that's all. Nothing more than a typical reaction to the loss of a friend, teammate.
