Has there ever been so much staff turnover after a first-time HC's first season?
-
At least they were able to coax Chan Gailey out of retirement.

While it sucks a little now to be losing a good coach like Dorrell, and he is a good coach, having coaches from our staff get promoted to HC jobs and stepping up levels from their time here means Coach Flo is going to be able to recruit top level talent. If he can show the ability to grow leaders for his team and for football in general, we truly have a Great Head Coach. Does that mean he has to teach everybody everything? NO. Only hire kids? NO. Can Gailey develop under Flores' leadership? YES. He better. And Flores can continue to develop behind Gaileys leadership also. He better.
And Dorrelll got 5 yrs 18 million. Get some brah! Congrats!Finatik, AGuyNamedAlex and Irishman like this. -
A bit late, but Dorrell has always been considered a good coach. It really isnt anything specific that happened here. He also has NCAA Head Coaching experience already at UCLA from 03 to 07.
Yes he was picked from our staff and brought in by Flores here, but his hire is based on his body of work not a season in Miami. He didnt become some hot prospect that had previously not been on the radar.
If we want to give Flores credit let's do it for the right reason. He brought in a very successful and well thought of coach in Dorrell. Let's hope we replace him with the same.KeyFin likes this. -

What fans think doesnt really matter, so even if it's a good message to them I dont see the significance.
