Dang, I really hope he bounce backs. I may hate the fact he's a Patriot, but that sill sucks something major.
Ouch he has a long recovery ahead. I agree even though he is a Patriot,I still don't like to see any player go through injuries. I hope he has a full recovery.
Yeah, those injuries ruined Culpepper's career and he's a QB. Welker probably can't afford to give up any quickness or speed. Hard to imagine him ever being the same tearing both of those. Must be karma, don't disrespect the team that opened the doors for you to be a star. Maybe I'm being overly harsh but I will always be pissed about his sidelines comment when he went to New England.
You're not, You didn't do it, nor did you wish for it. It's football and it happened. He made a living off of playing hard and and being quick...if he can't get his quickness back I don't see him having much of a career either.
Chances and prognosis of players coming back from these types of injuries is becoming better and better. And much of that depends on the type of surgery he elects and how well the surgery goes. That said though, I think at the very least (or best depending on your point of view), he won't be back to where he was until late in the 2010 season or possibly the 2011 season. Since he relies so much on his cutting ability and lateral quickness, I think it will take at least a year to fully recover, if he can fully recover at all.
