Just watched Sparano's local TV show. Feeling players is his way of saying they are doing good. Let's call it a Tonyism. He said he was feeling Wake & Misi, and that they were even better after watching film, winning more individual battles than he originally thought in the pass rush. CBS also did a short interview with Misi. He is a very calm, intelligent player. He preferred to go out and play as a kid but, listened to his dad to come in and watch football, did not play until HS. Misi also said that a light switch goes on when he steps on the field, and there is no more calm. Sparano said he needs to control the clock but, did mention it may have to be with the pass.
IMO Wake will finish this season as one of the top 5 pass rushers in the league. He was part of the reason that I was never worried about our pass rush going into this season. Misi has been better as a pass rusher than I anticipated. I loved his ability to set the edge and drop into coverage, but he has shown a quicker first step against NFL players in his pass rush than I thought he had.
Misi is so good at not giving the other team bulletin board material during interviews. Just ridiculously humble and lowkey.
