Sparano Q&A: 'We've got to do a better job' http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...y-sparanoqa-s091609,0,2269905.story?track=rss
Sparano lost me with the third paragraph saying, "There was very little real pressure"refering to the Atlanta defense against Pennington. Pennington passed for 33 attempts 4 sacks 13 hurries 6 knockdowns 23 out of 33 plays were real pressure OVER 70% and there was very little real pressure MY GOD...NOW I KNOW ONE OF THE PROBLEMS
In the case of the atlanta game, anyone who thinks we lost because we turned the ball over 4 times, is just giving the team an excuse for playing badly. Their defense forced those turnovers and deserved them. That team beat us strait up.
I like Sparano but I stopped wasting my time reading his pressers or interviews..... He never really says anything but the obvious
They sure did out hit us. We use the mantra: out-hit, out hustle, and out-focus for our team where I coach. It's not often where you do those things and still lose. Atlanta defiantely out hit us in a big way.
Well i agree we got beat all over but the 4 turnovers killed us. While they played good D and created those turnovers if we were more vigilant mentally protecting the ball (which ya do against constant pressure) maybe they dont happen. The turnovers themselves were not the only problem the issue is that we allowed them to create turnovers which does make us lose and show the world we played badly.
