Jay Fiedler AJ Feeley Gus Frerrote Daunte Culpepper John Beck Dave Wannstedt 42-31 Nick Saban 15-17 Cam Cameron 1-15 THOSE were bad days folks! Jay dropping back for a pass was heart-attack inducing. AJ Feely seemed to throw more Pick-6's than TD's, Gus was Gus, Daunte was Daunte, and John Beck is lucky to be alive. I'd take this team over ANY dolphins team since Danny retired. While I greatly appreate Pennington the offense was horrendous to watch while he was at the helm. It was like building a house of cards on a train......one wrong move and we were in a hole that we couldn't dig out of. Henne's a starting caliber QB who ripped the Jets for over 300 yards. He had a bad game, but so what? The game is coming to him. It's going to take time and patience. Get some perspective and look around. Rome wasn't built in a day, and that's A LOT of crap to overcome.

Its a long story Gman but it's my wish for the dolphins to build the replica of the orange bowl and completely build it from spec with 1 goal in mind, crowd noise and intimacy, and have them, and the canes, share it for their future.. It is my take , and has been, that our team is at a huge disadvantage relative to other teams in the league.. The fan's are so far away that the players feel disconnected from them, they can play bad and get away with it, its a lack of intimacy that can affect us negatively 2 way's, the obvious one, and the one that noone understands, which is, if the fans are not on top of you, you feel like if you play like sh%$ noone will see...it sounds crazy I know, but I have studied it since we moved in, and nothing has transpired to make me think that it will be tremendously difficult winning a championship in that stadium, not impossible, just tremendously hard to overcome.. If the suits were smart they would do it, the financial angle is off the charts, The craze would generate the money to pay for the stadium. Canes..Dolphin's..one love, one stadium, 12th man...OB2.
Look, no one cares if you're mad at or have negative things to say about the team. The problem is, you haven't brought a single valid reason, fact, analogy, scenario, into the discussion that in anyway proves your point. The Pats lost to the Jets 28-14. Do they suck? The Jets lost to the Ravens. Do they suck? We lost to the Pats and Jets, two of the better teams in the league. How does that make us suck? There are still two games to be played in each of those series, FWIW. Several years ago Ohio State lost to Florida, 41-14 in the BCS Title game. Now that is an anomaly here, because Ohio State does indeed suck.

I'm watching Sparano's press conference from yesterday and listening to how he's defending throwing the ball because "we were behind". I may be mistaken but weren't the Dolphins ahead in the first half, when both of the first two ints occurred? Near the red zone nonetheless. Two more drives added to the list of once promising drives that get stalled in and around the red zone because of bad play calling and Henning's inability to consistently call good plays in the most critical times of games. If the offense doesn't produce more against Green Bay, how long is it going to take before a change is made at offensive coordinator? Obviously by sticking with the ST's ace Bonamego for as long as they did, that proves to you that they would rather let the team suffer than give one of their buddies the axe. Their hand was forced in this situation. If Miami gets shutout or scores minimal points in GB 3, 7 or 10 points (which I HOPE is not the case), will you feel any differently about the situation than you do now? Some of you like Henning. Some like myself do not. I've been feeling for a long time that it's very apparent that a change needs to be made at the offensive coordinator position. I don't know about everyone else here, but I really believe that the players we have (and had the past two seasons) are being underutilized/improperly utilized. Forget all that talk about "Didn't have much to work with." or whatever some people want to say. There has been A LOT to work with. Henne is a young QB. I don't understand why they are now all of a sudden trying to put the entire game in his hands. That whole talk about "Playing from behind" doesn't have any ground. The Dolphins weren't behind in the first half. They could have and should have increased the lead to 14-0 and possibly 21-0. But the play call was pass pass pass pass run pass pass pass pass. Obviously Henne is going to make a mistake eventually. I just can't understand why they wouldn't call more runs and take some much needed pressure off our young QB? Henning is not a good offensive coordinator. Not looking forward to saying I told you so after we continue to lose and he is fired.

As bad and talent-less as we were in the first season of this new group, I think we need to give it a few years. We have made great strides, but it is apparent we are still missing a few bits. I would like to see us still make a run at least - if we finish below .500 again I think we still give one more season. Playoffs in '11 or your fired. I do not think that firing a coach every 3 years is productive or will get us to the playoffs any faster than giving Sparano a 30 year extension at this point. Teams lay stinkers. As long as we are competitive the rest of the season and don't lay more massive eggs, I see no reason to change. Yet.

This front office and coaching staff has let the entire team suffer because of INADEQUATE coaches that were only brought in because of cronyism. Parcells brought in Sparano, a guy who started out coaching at the University of New Haven (not exactly a big time program), and Sparano brought in his buddies. Remember Paul P? That was his buddy just like Bonamego. Henning is Parcells buddy. Instead of going out and getting THE BEST POSSIBLE coaches at each position, they brought in their buddies who they were "comfortable" with. A team spends top dollars on players, to get the best of the best. Correct? A team is also supposed to go out and get coaches who are THE BEST OF THE BEST. We don't have that though. We have coaches who were picked because of their relationship to Parcells and other people on the staff. NOT because of their talent at the positions. This is not an opinion either. It's a fact.
when all else fails, just have a good laugh nothing any of us can do except post an opinion the real deal is being worked out in utter desperation right through the bye-week
