My colleague over at RealFootball365 has a nice write up on tight ends that have developed under Sporano:

He covers some other topics as well, but the tight end topic seems particularly relevant since that's a position of weakness for the Dolphins.
What do you all think?

Interesting article Hugo - it's to be noted that the tight ends that played for Sparano (current and prior) speak so highly of the guy. I think that he's got exactly what it takes to be a HC - question is, will we be lucky enough to snag him?

Well it would be nice to get a truly impactful Pro Bowl tight end. We haven't had one in...maybe ever now that I think about it

Ferrell Edmunds 89 & 90. Keith Jackson 92. -
Man, I forgot about Edmunds!
As for Jackson, I still remember him as a stud at OU. Didn't remember that he had a Pro Bowl campaign for us either.
That being said, it would be nice to mold someone that could a franchise tight end, not just a one or two season wonder. -
this is a very good year to draft a TE IMO
I would love us to grab Rucker
look what Boss did for Eli, he has looked alot better since the hotshot TE went down. Boss does his job and gives Eli a target
a nice tall TE will do wonders for Beck and our other QB's -
I read that Fred Davis is going down in the charts for some reason...I do like Rucker but he's moving up so I don't know if he'll be there with our 2nd pick that we have in the 2nd round(the one from SD)and I don't know we'd take a TE at 32....I think Justin Pelle can be a good TE for us if we use him properly...for sure he can catch better than Martin.
Ozzy rules!! -
can't wait for the combine/Senior Bowl
