Why, who would want 22 Td's and 7 interceptions, how ugly would that be?

Thats some good buzz Pod..
Palmer is serious about not playin for them, hes available, hes interesting, but what would they be askin for?..the 15th?..
I think we have to look at that option thoroughly ya know?..Hes 31, has a weakened arm from when that dude came out, an arm that could be getting stronger depending on his training, good leader, can deal with different personalities, get6 his *** out of the cold.. I could see a fit here, but I wonder if their gonna want the 15th for him. -
I'd be fine with Palmer or Orton, IF we didn't have to trade a draft pick for them. certainly not the 15th pick.
-
The latter being one of the picks we gave up for Marshall. -
Hmm, notice no one mentioned Vince Young would like to play in Miami..
Bring him on down Ireland, go big or go home baby. -
Schefter has said that IF Cinci decides to trade Palmer, they could well get a 1st rounder from a west coast team, where he wants to play, or from Zona.

I have just never been able to get comfortable with the idea of trading for Kyle Orton. I've tried. He's not as bad as Kevin Kolb. That much I know. My favorite option is still Carson Palmer, if we're not taking someone in this Draft.
If you can get Carson Palmer for next year's 2nd rounder, I think you do that. And it sounds like Cincinnati might be willing to hear that offer.Rocky Raccoon likes this. -
It's kinda like hitting your head on a brick wall. The only thing that makes it feel better is when you stop. :) -
paying a 2nd rounder for AJ, Beck and White was highway robbery and we were on the losing end.
DC and Henne were worth the risk, for very different reasons. and I still hope we keep Henne, regardless of whether he's a starter, or preferably our #2 QB.
Given our priority is shoring up the QB position, I'm okay with paying a 2nd rounder for Palmer, less so for Orton. -
Kyle Orton would never fit into the S. Florida social scene. Dude looks like he does 40 yard wind sprints in a gym that is 39 yards long.

I'm really not enamoured at all with Orton but I'd take him any day over Young.
Palmer is probably the best option but I'm not willing to give up what they'd probably want for him personally. -

Besides, imo we also need a Qb that is not afraid to ignore Sparano, Young would have no problem throwing it up for Brandon Marshall, Sparano would have a kitten, giraffe, then a rhino..it would be awesome!

I'll say it for the millionth time...Not one free agent or rookie QB is our answer this year. It's simple. We have a very wide window to work with here. Our defense is young and as good as it has been in years. It will only improve also. Our offense lacks playmakers and lacks scoring threats. Henne has 1 year left on his contract (cheap, might I add). If we can get him a solid supporting cast on offense, and he takes off, then we bring him back and everyone is happy. If he has a bad season, we let him walk and view our options in the draft and free agency in 2012.
I can tell you all right now, that next year's draft class is going to be 10x better than this year's. Andrew Luck, LAndry Jones, Nick Foles, Matt Barkley, Brandon Weeden, Steven Threet, John Brantely, Kirk Cousins, Terrelle Pryor, etc... (not saying I would want Pryor, but just throwing him out there).2xBlown likes this. -

But then Luck up and decides not to come out, as do Pryor and Foles. Christian Ponder's and Jake Locker's senior seasons fall like a limp d-ck, presumably because of injuries for Ponder and a combination of suckitude and bad weapons for Locker. Now Ryan Mallett's got drug rumors to deal with and people saying he's an a-hole.
You just don't know. You can't do business that way. Terrelle Pryor is not a good pro prospect. Neither is John Brantley. Kirk Cousins could easily be a flash in the pan. Nick Foles and Landry Jones could fail to progress just like Christian Ponder and Jake Locker did (and those two respectively compare pretty well too). Andrew Luck goes #1 overall, where we are NOT picking most likely, and Matt Barkley decides to stay in school...suddenly, OH SH-T, we're out of luck again, guess we'd better wait til next year because the 2013 Draft is guaranteed to have 10x better QBs than this 2012 class...ssmiami likes this. -
