“I like his decision-making. If you watch the preseason film, there’s not a lot of picture of him throwing the ball into triple coverage and double coverage and making really bad decisions. Certainly, we want him to be a hair more accurate as we move forward during the regular season, which we believe we will be. So No. 1, I like his decision making. No. 2, I think he has enough velocity with his arm that he can make the throws we need to make in this offense, whether it’s the 15-yard out breaking route, whether it’s the seam balls down the middle of the field, whether it’s throwing the ball on the move, which we think he does extremely well. We think he has a talented arm.

On filling the final roster spot
One agent who has dealt with the Dolphins said the team still has several veterans on its radar, but knows that vested veterans on the roster for the first week have guaranteed contracts the rest of the season. Miami will consider adding a veteran or two after Week 1.

Somehow I think he is going to be one of his favorite receivers.
There is more.I find it interesting that Marino has offered to help Tanny anyway he can.I dont remember him doing that with any other QB.
DisgustipatesubscriberI'm a little bit torn on waiting for veteran players. We need help, and the fast they are in and the faster they are learning the system the better. I almost feel better signing Jake Scott or Jabar Gaffney now and having them ready a week earlier than waiting and not having their contracts guaranteed.

Any vet WRs that come from a WCO? They may be specifically looking for one to negate a steep learning curve.

Gaffney spent time in Washington right before part of this off-season in New England. Anthony Armstrong mentioned some of the concepts were similar but the terminology was different, so he's still got stuff he needs to learn.

Either or will do. I think we need to bring in someone just to spark things up a bit in that locker room and for the team psyche.

While that may be the coaches preference I think the front office would disagree with you.

I don't see fans having any issues with Marino wanting to help the question is what does Philbin think of Marino's schooling ability?
The actual QB coach on the team right now has to be a family member or something.

djphinfansubscriberI'd like Dan to hang around RT, Mostly for confidence and leadership tips..I'd really like to see RT show something on the field this week that shows, he's not gonna allow players to play slow, I admit, I wouldn't even mind seeing him pissed off, or in somebody's grill.
