Honestly they could add Stallworth and still need to make a trade for a WR. At this point I'd start using our 6's/7's and see what we can pick up for acorns at WR/CB.

More interested in who the "among others" are than Stallworth. I hope Donte Stallworth is not their answer to the position.

Out of the list I saw from FA's and cuts, he was the best available.

I am sure those other names will leak out slowly today.

Can someone please work out Plaxico Burress. That fade by Tannehill last night was downright embarrassing - forgot to who though.

Stallworth is washed up. Gaffney is the best guy out there. Him and Plax can help this team but i dont know that we have brought in eitehr one

    Funny story about Gaffney.

    GA-FL game, October 28th, 2000.

I was sitting in the 4th row on the goal line, Georgia side....GO DAWGS! Florida was warming up on that side of the field and the WR's were catching passes in the endzone. Gaffney came into Florida with "just a little" baggage. I had been drinking all day...a lot. F FLORIDA, but I digress. So, Gaffney is about 15-20 yards from me when I shout at him: "Hey Jabar, you going to steal another kids bike after the game?". He starts cussing at me with all kinds of jibberish and then starts walking over towards me in the stands. Reche Caldwell grabs him and starts bringing him back to the field. Gaffney then says to me, "Oh, I got something for your a$$, you wait....I got something for your a$$.". Given his track record, at the time, I was sure he was talking about violating me in some form or another.

The game starts and Gaffney catches a long TD pass right in front of me. He starts yelling, "take that MF'er" and points at me. I could only hold my head in shame as I must have awaken the beast. I am shame. :pity:

I take sole responsibility for that loss in 2000.

Perhaps there's a reason why nobody is talking to Plax?

The word out there -- at least recently -- was that at 35 he can't separate anymore. And he wasn't fast to begin with. So that would mean his skills consist of being tall and lanky.

Still, he managed to catch 8 TDs last season after three years off and Mark Sanchez throwing the ball.

He's correct about that. Jarrett Boykin should be a consideration. But the real resolution to that issue with Green Bay's overload should be a trade for James Jones for a low pick.

I'm not really happy Donte Stallworth is even being brought in.

And I don't see how the Packers bottom of roster players are of significant interest to us. They are very unlikely to be the kind of players we need just because they are very deep. We don't need more 5-6th receivers.

If their bottom of the roster players are playing well, then they'll be more open to trading James Jones.

He's dropped more balls than a stripper at a bar mitsvah.

Maybe, or they just cut guys according to their talent and we've got guys who will likely do sweet **** all for us like Tori Gurley. I think there's a decent argument that the Packers would be a little bit unconventional in terms of roster building in order to give them the best chance to win short-term with Jones.

To Naanee who was totally mugged on the play. Even Burress would have had a hard time catching the pass with such blatant PI being committed.

I watched Blanchard during one of these preseason games. I believe he threw a beautiful ball to Chris Summers who made a beautiful 28 yard catch on it, really caught my attention on both ends. Don't know much more than that.

I hope it only takes a 4th. And I would absolutely exhaust my options with Mike Wallace before I go there. But you have to keep in mind Green Bay smells blood in the water and I have no doubt we're going to have to call them, they won't call us. You saw how hard Ireland pressed Grigson on Vontae because Grigson was the one that called. How easy do you imagine Ted Thompson will be in similar circumstances?
