Golfing this afternoon in Sterling Va. Storm is coming through. We hear thunder and start heading back to the clubhouse. Within 30 seconds strong winds and hail are in full force. I start to see branches around me falling. As I'm heading toward a fairway to get away from the trees, a tree falls on my cart.
I was lucky enough that the back of the cart took the brunt of the tree. I am alright, but half my clubs had their shafts snapped like twigs. Had the tree fallen 5 ft in a different direction I wouldn't be typing this!

close one brother, glad it was only the clubs.

On a lighter note: Probably not the first time you've been in danger of having your shaft snapped like a twig. :pointlol:unluckyluciano, Killerphins and Pandarilla like this. -
I echo E's sentiments. I am glad you are still among the living contributors of ThePHINS.com.

That sucks about your clubs but good to hear you are in one piece.

Good to hear man. Those things make you look at life differently. -
Wow, that was a close call man. One life down, eight more to go.
