QB – I was hoping for a vet to come in and seriously challenge Henne for the starting job, but if they want to hitch their wagon to him, I’m OK with that. They have way more at stake than I do. When Parcells and Company took over I gave them 4 years and this is year 4, so a playoff win is mandatory. A lot of folks have been dissing the Moore signing but I watched his presser and the kid has some swagger. I like that. Grade C RB – I also liked the Bush trade. I’ve always been a fan of his. He can attack from anywhere on the field. I’d like to see them bring back Ricky so he can mentor the young guys and break the all time rushing record. As much as I despised him when he decided to go trekking Nepal, the more I’ve come realize we have no idea what these guys are going through and he’s been nothing but professional and productive since his return. Sheets? Hilliard? Who knows? One was pretty quick before blowing out his achilles and the other runs down hill pretty well and has good hands. Thomas will be a factor. Grade B WR – I’m all in with Marshall, Bess and Hartline. I like all three of them a lot. A good friend of mine who’s been to a couple of the practices thinks Gates is a lock as a return guy. That leaves Moore, Wallace and Pruitt to fight it out for special teams duty and a chance to contribute. Grade A TE – Fasano gets big props from me for his fake Lambeau leap and his blocking but someone needs to be able to threaten the seam. Daboll used Watson a lot last year and as far as a receiver is concerned Fasano is no Watson. Until Clay proves me wrong... Grade D OL – If Carey restructures his contract, that’s three 1[SUP]st[/SUP] round picks and Incognito. Grade A , otherwise B- DL – A LB – As much as I like Crowder as a character the signing of Burnett is a major upgrade. Edds and Spitler should be able to provide the needed depth inside. Wake is obviously a beast but needs some help. Misi improved as the season passed and does seem to have a nose for the ball. Until I see someone else who can rush the passer effectively C+ DB – I expect this group to be the most improved unit on the field. I know there are a lot of fans who think a ball hawking vet FS is needed, but I seriously doubt they will drop 19 INT again. A-
