"Tough negotiations, but we are thrilled to come away with one of the best defensive players in our game. We hate to give up a guy in Aaron who has battled for us so long, but at his age and coming off the injury, and with a surplus of ends we felt it was a move we could make. You also never like to give up a promising young player like Ziggy. We wish the both of them the best in Indy. Having said that, we now love our defensive roster. We feel like we have the two best defensive players in the league in Troy and now Dwight. With the NFL turning into a passing league, every team needs to put a premium on pass rushing and there isn't anyone better than that in football than Dwight Freeney."
