Steelers starter Brett Keisel will miss game against Dolphins

Don't know that this is going to be a huge loss for them...

it is. brett is a stout run defender.

he's no aaron smith, but it will hurt them some...he is a starter.

I wouldn't count on any dropoff. Ziggy Hood was their first round draft pick last year(?)...They draft these guys in waves.

John Mitchell, who I admire greatly, states that those 3 guys (Keisel, Smith, and Hampton) are what make this defense tick. Not much in terms of stats but they force teams to go one dimensional with their ability to stop the run. It will hurt them and I am sure we will take advantage if Ziggy/Eason start in his place.

ziggy has a ton of upside. but he's a college dt learning the 34 de position. that can be a transition that takes time. in base d i'm actually more comfortable with eason.
