I could go for a G**damn snack right about now. Props to Sanchez though. Played well without much of a run game.
i wish the players were more like the nhl with these championship trophies... they dont even care to touch them... rather get their hands on the stanley cup!
It's been fun, Miami fans. Thanks for having me. It was a good season. I would have liked to see Sanchez get the ball one more time, but it wasn't meant to be. Once again it is wait until next year Props to Sanchez. I thought he played great. Peace! sent from my EVO 4G
Was your first sentence a question? If it was my answer is because this is the Jests - Pittsburgh thread. As to the rest of your post, WTF are you writing about? I think you have me confused with someone else. My belief is that defense wins champions. You're talking about rushing and passing. Packers = #2 defense in the league. Pittsburgh = #1 defense in the league. However, i'll defend the "traditional football wisdom" just for fun. Today the winning QB's had numbers like this: Rodgers- 17/30, 244yds, 0 TD, 2 INT Big Ben- 10/19, 133yds, 0 TD, 2 INT *Each had a RUSHING TD Green Bay rushing- 125yds- WINNER Bears rushing- 83 yds- LOSER Steelers rushing- 166yds-WINNER Jests rushing- 70 yds- LOSER Yeah, offense, in particular the passing, won these two Conference Championship games.
If someone told me that Sanchez would have a 102 QBR to Rothlisberger's 35 and the Jets would lose, I'd say they were nuts. Football is a crazy game. I think Sanchez has a breakout year next year. And he is one tough bastard,
I don't have a preference about the importance of offense vs defense. But there's been too many people on this forum lately and on this thread posting cliches about running the ball and defending the run as the keys to winning football period. Glad to know you are not involved in that. But the Packers ran for 3.75 YPA today, hardly good, and Rodgers was actually better than Cutler. And the Steelers game was aberrant for them even the announcers noted that it was the best they ran since the days of Bill Cowher. But that's just one game look at their playoff game against the Ravens when their rushing was terrible. I'm impressed by Sanchez; I didn't feel he could play that well against that defense.
Did you miss that hit he took? I'm not going to bother arguing with you. Just tell me he sucked today and call it a day.
He played great in the second half. However, football has 2 halves. As to the hit, yeah, I watched it. He wasn't hit a fraction of what Rodgers got hit today and Rodgers didn't come off the field holding his left arm and then claim it was really his neck that was hurting.
