great card saturday......and with recent signings like dan henderson, bobby lashley etc......they are really getting their feet sturdy in the mma world. when you already have the greatest HW in mma......with up and comers like rodgers, and lashley.....and studs like overeem and werdum......this is damn exciting. scott smith had an amazing win against cung le......who was undefeated and totally dominating smith for the entire fight.......you got jake sheilds, robbie lawler, nick diaz, king mo, gegard mousasi.....etc etc anyone not excited about strikeforce? imo its great for us fans thats for sure. i welcome any and all competition to ufc.....its better for us fans. also i heard something about dream and strikeforce merging......true? edit: http://www.mmafighting.com/2009/08/04/strikeforce-dream-to-enter-partnership/ thats ****ing HUGE (and old news lol.....that stories from august......good call by me lol)
ya dude.....he was murdering scott smith for 2+ rounds......spinning kicks, head kicks, ground and pound......late in the 3rd round....smith lands a left....drops le for a second, gets him against the cage....straight jab....drops him again....then starts landing bombs from side mount and big john stops it......it was insane....he was being utterly dominated all fight
excellent card...and Henderson is gonna tear that place up. I liked his comment that "he hopes Jake Shields doesn't drop weight and hide from him in a lower wieght class"
