Do you think forking out $100 million for Ndamukong Suh is a wise decision for the Dolphins? Does he provide more bang for your buck than Jared Odrick? Will he fit into the personality of the team Hickey and Philbin are building? Would he even want to come to Miami? Discuss.

Suh would be as worth the money, maybe more than the value the Bills got for Mario Williams.
-
I think that whoever signs Suh should take a look at someone like Albert Haynesworth, who had a bit of a rep as a dirty player, but it was tolerated because he was a special player at his position. Then he got a big time FA contract to go to Washington and washed out shortly thereafter.
Buyer beware with Suh. I want to like the guy (going back to his time at Nebraska), but the way he plays the game means that he is going to be under constant scrutiny. We don't need that here.DeDolfan, LiferYank, Piston Honda and 2 others like this. -
I would love to get Suh. He is a disruptive force for a D. However, like a poster already mentioned, mixing him with Philbin is like mixing Vodka and Milk.
-
No interest. If we're going to spend $100mm, I don't want a guy with questionable character. Besides winners in free agency usually mean losers in the regular season. As we've proven. We have too many needs to tie up that much money on one player. Very rarely do you get a good ROI on buying players in free agency.

However, I'm still on board with adding Suh and creating this crazy 'drink'.Vengeful Odin likes this. -

Wouldn't it be smarter to simply re-sign Odrick for $6-7 million per year to get a better return on your interest? You know Odrick will fit into the the team/has no character concern; plus, while he may not be as disruptive as Suh, he's pretty darn high on the list of DTs in the NFL. Is it really a smart business move to invest that much money into a defensive lineman unless his name is JJ Watt?
-
If if the choice is signing a very mediocre Odrick for 6-7 million dollars a year or Suh for a long term deal for 15-18 million a year, I will go with signing Suh any day of the week.
Odrick just isn't worth 6-7 million dollars a year, IMO. He has been a very average player on a very average defense since he was drafted by the Dolphins. I wouldn't have any interest in him resigning with the Dolphins unless it is more in the 3-4 million a year range.
I really don't see Suh wanting to come to Mami and play for a coach like Philbin. So I think the chance of him being in a Dolphin uniform next season is probably less than 1%.
Until the new head coach arrives after next season, I don't see much changing in regards to the mediocre direction this team has been on since Philbin has been the head coach. -
Yea, we don't need one of the top defensive players in the entire NFL. We love having a mediocre team and getting a player like Suh would only make it apparent how bad most of the other players on defense really are.
The problem is that too many Dolphin fans have bought into the Philbin type player. That is a player who shows no emotion and is happy to pick up the gum wrappers Philbin missed on his daily tour to keep the field paper free. Philbin wants players to keep their mouths shut and who never question his mediocre coaching ability.
Unfortunately these type players most often end up being as mediocre as their head coach. -
You add Suh to our DL and a top notch MLB in the first round and, holy hell.
-
If your going to blow your load, you better be good at filling out a roster with young college talent.
The Suh way is a way to win, there are many ways to win, but building a dominating defense around him is an option..im not sure were in a position stability wise to lure a free agent of that caliber.. -
I'm a proponent of Suh. All the way, every day, and twice on Sunday. Even Kevin Coyle can't screw that up...much. -
Suh would be a great pick up...on Madden 16'.
In real life it's a horrible idea, though I'm sure Dan Snyder would love it. You pay the guys who've developed in your system, with an occasional venture into FA to fill the gaps. I'd much rather pay Clay, Odrick, Vernon, Pouncey, Tannehill, than over pay for a guy like Suh. -
-
yea. i don't normally comment on your off season moves, but this guy is a cancer for you.
