The incident happened near 46th and Sheridan. Police say a woman who lives in the home found her husband dead in the garage. His hands and feet were tied and the body had been decapitated. Tulsa police told KRMG news the death was due to suicide. easy peasy. He climbed a ladder, tied his hands first followed by his feet, then did a reverse guillotine by falling neck first onto a freshly sharpened machete. Made it look like murder for the policy to pay out, except he happened across a detective too keen to buy it. Bravo detective, bravo.
One that happened in my part of the world 15 years or so ago that baffled people for a while: Car found with two headless bodies in it, ends up being suicide. The couple had tied ropes around their necks and the other end to a tree, got in the car and drove off at very high speed. Because the car ended up a long way from the tree with the rope it took a while to find it and then work out what happened. Moral of the story: Suicides can be dressed up to seem as something else.
Yes but that scenario you described is entirely different than this. If you decapitate yourself somehow with your hands tied down there should be evidence of how you did it if you were stationary the whole time.
Right. Only way I could see this done is having the hands tied first, noose of very thin strong wire, tie feet while standing on chair... Head into noose, kick chair away... Don't know how one could tie one's own hands, though... Unless they were just tied very loosely for show... I did, however, see a story of a guy that got really freaking drunk one night and cut himself in half on his garage bandsaw... So people will do some weird **** if they just see no other way... O.o
