Jake Long is head and shoulders bigger, and more talented than every other lineman here in the camp. His helmet starts where everyone else's ends. That can't be a bad thing.
Long hasn't had much trouble with anyone on defense, but he also hasn't gone up against Phillip Merling much.
Of the five receivers in camp Davon Bess looks like he has the potential to be the best. He's quick, catches everything with his hands, and has a stout frame. He's short (5-foot-10), but has a super thick lower body. His quads and huge. Kind of reminds me of a quicker version of Darnell Jenkins, who the Dolphins did try to sign by the way.

Going into the draft, I coveted all three WR's coming out of Hawaii. Glad we were able to get Bess, and I do think he makes the squad...

It's a long ways from rookie camp, to opening day roster. If I had a guess, I'd say theres a better chance we sign a WR who's released by another team before we sign any of the RFA WR's.

Hagan is pretty frustrating. I could see him developing since he seems to run decent enoguh routes and does get open. He's just inconsistent and doesn't look very natural catching the ball which doesn't bode well for a WR. I really hope he comes into camp and tears it up this year. If not, we are still pretty thin at WR so he will likely still make the roster by default. However, if we decide to bring in a vet FA and a guy like Bess steps up, he could feasibly be out.

Hagan runs great routes, and the guy can get open as if his name were Britney Spears' Legs. But for some reason, he's no longer the same guy we saw tear it up and become the Pac-10's all time leading receiver. His hands just are not what they were and what they should be. His rookie year, that's understandable; rookie nerves, Nick Saban, and Joey Harrington throwing the ball all equals bad WR play. But he didn't turn it up too much under Cameron and Robiskie, and say what you want about those two, they know how to coach an offense.
Something happened with Hagan, and I don't know if we'll ever find out what it was.
