Cowpokes D is not making plays at the moment, if Dallas goes down (TD Rice) 3 scores they are sunk.

yup. really think favre has a good shot at riding off the sunset with another SB ring. Peterson looks like he's starting to find some holes

I guess that trick play was meant to trick the other team into taunting???

IDK man, New Orelans looks insanely good right now, they waxed the Cardinals and held them to 14 pts to boot.

I do think we will see the Colts in the SB but the NFC team...:dunno:

Vikes score a TD on this drive and shut out the pokes until halftime this one is in serious jeopardy of being a snoozer.

Just goes to prove the old saying one teams BUST or (FANs BUST) is another teams weapon.

NFL Talent is NFL Talent whether fans want to admit it......skills just have to be maximized and allowed to excel in the best system for them.

that said....a good game is not a career...but skills are skills

Agreed. I think they have the best defensive front in the game, which is what could take them to the SB. The games are still won in the trenches IMO.

Dallas looks like they've given up already - very uninspired for a team that was so hot. Either the Eagles are a lot worse than we thought, or the 'Pokes came into this thing thinking it was a walkover.

    Bye Bye Wade Phillips lol.

i think the Saints will implode next week. both minny and dallas can bring the heat and brees needs perfect protection to function or he has to resort to short passes and dump offs. he cant create anything when protection breaks down and i dont see him having alot of time to sit back and pick apart either secondary. defensively favre would eat up the saints blitzes IMO. Romo I'm not so sure. but I think both teams would be able to run all day on new orleans

So are we secretly hoping for Minnesota to blow out the Cowboys so Wade Phillips gets the axe??

"If" Freeney and Mathis were OLB's would they head upfield as much as they currently do?

Or would they be in read and react mode?

How many NT can passrush? How many DT's can?

Trading a DT for a ILB is not much of a boost to pressuring the QB..

Wes Welker rule, some people can catch a ton of passes but really aren't threats to break one for a TD, those passes are more like long handoffs.

I don't understand why centers aren't taught to snap the ball when a player jumps offsides.

witten can break them occasionally but tight ends are usually more security blankets for QBs. I dont think you're going to be getting alot of big plays against a defense that can rush your QB as well as Minny can

Respect his ability to play QB yes. But for me it ends right at the line.

Will I'm a fan of the Jim Bates type 4-3. The Colt's defense would drive me nuts with there inability to stop the run.

Assuming they are playing weak side, then most likely.

Are you two gapping? As I said, I've seen two gap in both defenses in the past, which means they both are required to hold blocks more than rush the passer. We all have watched the 1 gap this year with the Dolphins and that's not much different than a 4-3, which is typically a 1 gap. Charge the gaps, raise hell in the backfield and your nose is essentially a defensive tackle in an under/over front.

It happened yesterday too. It doesn't really matter if the QB is ready for the snap if the player is offsides. That's a free 5 yards.

Benny Sapp is very underrated imo. Injuries really hampered his career while at KC. He has really nice speed now he is healthy and is playing very well.

Jim Bates' 4-3 has struggled some when he has run it. They struggled in Denver and in Tampa IIRC. It's a good defense though, I agree.

One would have to play the strong and one the weakside Alen, after all "OLB's are just converted DE's"..

Who was the last 3-4 ILB to have even say..8 sacks?

Sorry for the cynicism Alen, but I've heard "the 3-4 is a great defense" since I was younger than you are, it never leaves up to it, especially in Miami for whatever reason, you always need players to fill roles in it.
